Best Myanmar’s itinerary

Experience best Myanmar from its fabulous blend of colonial and local architecture in Yangon to shining pagodas in Mandalay and vibrant markets and stilted houses over Inle Lake. Your last few days are spent unwinding in the simply spectacular Pagoda strewn plains of Bagan, visiting local artisans and exploring the stunning architectural remnants found here.


Arrive Yangon International Airport and transfer to hotel. After refreshment at the hotel, orientation tour starts for Yangon.

Yangon is the largest city in Myanmar with a population of 5,000,000 inhabitants. Its wide tree-lined avenues, dark green parks and beautiful lakes give enormous reputation of one of the most charming cities in Asia.

City orientation tour including Chaukthatgyi pagoda with its colossal reclining Buddha, Sule Pagoda; the mark and east sides of the square are dominated by the colonial buildings and the City Hall etc.. and Karaweik Royal Barge. Sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda.  Overnight in Yangon.

  • Note: It is recommended that the arrival of the flight is about 9 am or earlier. Thus you will have time to visit all what is included in the itinerary. Otherwise, you will visit according to the time available.


DAY 2 – YANGON/BAGAN by flight

Early in the morning, after breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to Bagan ; one of the most important archaeological sites in Asia and one of the main tourist attractions in Best Myanmar.

Throughout the day we will visit famous temples and pagodas including: Shwezigon Pagoda, the first monument built in Myanmar and one of the most beautiful; Ananda Temple, the masterpiece with delicate decorations in glazed tiles along its base and terraces; the Gubyaukgyi Temple, shows a strong influence of Hindu culture; Shwessandaw Pagoda, with influences from the Mon ethnic group and a terrace for magnificent views.

In the afternoon, climb on top of one of the temples to witness the sunset and as reflected in the large expanse of temples in Bagan. Overnight in Bagan.



In the morning, after breakfast, drive to MT. POPA, the core of an extinct volcano last active 250,000 years ago, known as the ‘Mt Olympus’ of Myanmar, the abode of Myanmar’s most powerful NATS, the most important NAT Worship Centre. Visit the Nat worship shrines at foot of the Hill.

Afternoon, back to Bagan and visit lacquer ware workshop and some more temples ; Tayokype, Htilominlo and Thatbyinnyu before sunset. Back to enjoy the sunset at the famous Bu Paya with views Irrawaddy River. Overnight in Bagan.


DAY 4 – BAGAN/HEHO by flight – LAKE INLE by car

In the morning, after breakfast, transferred to Bagan airport for flight to Heho (Inle Lake), the gateway to southern Shan State.

Upon arrival, transfer to Inle Lake ; famous for its unique one-leg rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. On the way visit Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery at entrance of Nyaung Shwe town.

Proceed to Hotel for check in. Afternoon visit cheroot Factory and the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda housing five sacred and almost shapeless Buddha images, contorted because of the quantity of applied gold leaf, gifts from the believers. The Buddha images are purported to have come here in the 12th Century. Continue to visit silk weaving village of In Phaw Khon and visit Nga Phe Chaung (the biggest and oldest monastery around Inle Lake).  Overnight in Inle.



Breakfast at the hotel. This day we will board a boat to explore the lake surrounded on both sides by high hills. Have the opportunity to visit the local market, the best opportunity to see hill tribes falling to sell and buy their products.

Then boat trip to Indein Village, the west coast of Inle Lake. And then visit Shwe Indein Pagoda to see old stupas; take a walk and cross beautiful Bamboo forest and Small Dam. Continue to visit Bamboo Sheet Hat making workshop, Gold and silver smith workshops at Ywama Village and floating gardens. Overnight in Inle.



Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for flight to Yangon.  Arrival and transfer to Bogyoke market [closed on Monday and publish Holiday ] which has an enormous array of consumer goods and has the largest collections of souvenirs from all over Myanmar. This will be a wonderful opportunity to pick up some handicraft. You will be transferred back to the airport in the time for your flight back home.
